Doom III |
You're a marine sent to Mars to replace recruits who have mysteriously disappeared. On Mars, you meet your NCO who sends you to find a scientist, and when you do, all hell breaks loose. Although Doom 3 is not a sequel - it's a remake of the original Doom - series fans will find familiar yet reimagined versions of monsters from Doom and Doom 2.
Doom 3 is very impressive technically. The sound is great and the new 3D graphics engine used to generate the atmospheric and surprisingly lifelike environments are impressive and definitely rank Doom 3 up there as one of the best-looking games on the market. You feel as if you're IN the game, albeit a game with a rather touch too dark environment.
Once again I donned my photographer's guise to shoot five panoramas inside the game.
